major vendors contracted with OIT have been vetted and risks assessed. If those vendors are providing services to your agency, you have a partner in OIT’s Vendor Management Office to work through issues with your business needs in mind.

Mature Vendor Management Project

The Mature Vendor Management project will introduce a policy around vendor use and a more robust process and program for managing vendors through the OIT Vendor Management Office (VMO), a single point of contact for all post-contract, vendor-related relationship, risk, and performance management at OIT.

The project strives to:

  • Raise awareness of OIT’s VMO and increase use of its services.

  • Provide vendor feedback and risk assessments to agencies if requested for the vendors that are contracted through OIT.

  • Increase communication and collaboration with agencies when it comes to best practices for vendor management.

Project Timeline

September 2020 - January 2021

  • Onboard additional vendors per the vendor pool analysis

  • Rollout Value Added Resellers Management program

September 2020 - February 2021

  • Conduct risk assessment of new and existing OIT vendors per the vendor pool analysis

September 2020 - November 2020

  • Meet with agency partners for information gathering and collaboration on vendor management issues to identify paths for collaboration

  • Create materials to outline the role, processes, tools and services available from the VMO
