Enterprise Identity Services Program
About the program
The Enterprise Identity Services Program aims to assess and modernize the existing identity services platform, while also enhancing service stability to develop a user-friendly interface. To accomplish this, OIT will work with experts in the field to make the required improvements to our systems. Once this is complete, we plan to implement best-practice standards and upgrade the entire identity services platform.
Key Outcomes:
This program includes a number of needed improvements for the identity services application that will make it efficient, more secure and simpler to use for all state employees.
What are the projects?
Enterprise Identity Services Project
Identity Manager, powered by One Identity, is the state's primary tool for Identity and access Management (IAM) and requires various modifications and updates. The Enterprise Identity Services project will implement an integrated identity management strategy to stabilize the service by leveraging existing tools and outlining its future direction.
Because Identity Manager is only as good as the information it receives, a crucial part of this project is cleaning up Active Directory (AD). The goal of this effort is to address technical issues within AD and the processes that agencies and OIT follow to maintain this data to ensure a smoother, more reliable, and consistent user experience with improved system performance.
Agencies in scope: All state agencies.
