About the project
There are many critical Tech Debt Remediation projects that OIT needs to prioritize that don’t necessarily fit in the same bucket. The projects in this program include strengthening security, enhancing the ease of use of our relationship management software (Salesforce), and creating an asset management system to allow us to collect information and monitor the usage of our technology.

Efficient IT asset and service management, application modernization and enhancement of IT security across the state.
What are the projects?
IT Asset Management (ITAM) - Complete
As of Jan. 2023, the IT Asset Management (ITAM) Project is complete.
OIT will work with operations for ongoing maintenance outside of the scope of the Tech Debt project.
Salesforce Security Vulnerabilities Remediation - Complete
The primary goal of this project was to identify and remediate the high and medium vulnerabilities for each application utilizing Salesforce.
Remediation of Salesforce security vulnerabilities ensures protecting and preserving critical data across state agencies.
All vulnerabilities within this project's scope have been remediated as of Feb. 1, 2024.
